Question: The first is a sign of something good,
the second says whereto;
the third is vulgar and mean,
the fourth is bound by a ring;
the fifth is the noble one.
Together they all drum.

What are they?

Answer: A hand.

The first, the thumb, is a sign of something good (thumbs up). The next finger, the index finger, is used to point. The third is the middle finger. The fourth is the ring finger. The fifth is the pinkie, commonly a sign of wealth and class when raised while drinking.
